Luther Faye Smith, aged 33, was killed on May 23, 1999, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. At around 1:20 a.m., Luther was shot multiple times as he walked off the front porch of his apartment, which was located at 1538 W. 59th Street. Witnesses reported that the suspect or suspects were traveling in a maroon Ford Mustang that fled northbound from the scene. Luther succumbed to his injuries from multiple gunshot wounds shortly after the incident.
