On July 5, 2007, 31-year-old David Sanroman was found shot outside a residence in Oklahoma City. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he survived for over two years but passed away on September 1, 2009, at a nursing home in Muskogee, Oklahoma, as a result of complications from the gunshot wounds. In 2010, the medical examiner officially ruled his death a homicide, linking it directly to the 2007 shooting.
