On May 18, 2010, 22-year-old Travion Byrd was fatally shot at a convenience store in midtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. The incident occurred at Moe's Grill located at 5th and Lewis Avenue. Tulsa police responded to the shooting and later identified Donald Grey III as the shooter. Grey, who claimed to be an Okmulgee County Reserve Deputy, shot Byrd in the chest, and Byrd was pronounced dead at the scene.
