In what was later determined to be a murder-suicide, 24-year-old Priscilla Dinh-Kittelson was found deceased in a Northwest Oklahoma City home on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Both Priscilla and her ex-husband, 24-year-old Baanh Dinh, were discovered at the residence. Investigators concluded that Baanh Dinh shot and killed Priscilla before turning the gun on himself.
The former couple were both active members of the Air Force, stationed at Tinker Air Force base for the two years prior to
their deaths. Priscilla worked in maintenance management, while Baanh was a jet engine mechanic. The tragic incident occurred just 17 days after their divorce was finalized.
Records show that police had responded to a domestic call at their house in November of the previous year. Priscilla filed for divorce the day after this incident. The motive for the murder-suicide remains unclear, though it has been noted as part of a concerning trend of military suicides.
