On March 20, 2012, 24-year-old Charles Gordon was shot and killed while driving in northwest Oklahoma City. He was in a vehicle with Dewon Thomas, 33, when another car pulled up next to them and opened fire. The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the Broadway Extension and Wilshire. After being struck by bullets, both men managed to drive to a nearby convenience store. Unfortunately, Charles Gordon died at the scene, while Thomas was taken to a hospital and survived his injuries.
