In the spring of 2014, a quiet Oklahoma City neighborhood was rocked by a brutal act of violence that claimed the life of a sixty-year-old man. Charles Buford Sallis, a male resident of the city, was discovered in his home on April 13, 2014, the victim of a homicide. The circumstances of his death were particularly grim, as he had been shot and, in an apparent attempt to conceal the crime, his body was set on fire.
