On November 29, 1990, Monte Thurmond, aged 38, was severely beaten during an altercation in the area of 306 East 6th Street in Lima, Ohio. The incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. Thurmond sustained serious injuries during this attack, which eventually led to him falling into a coma for an extended period.
