On July 20, 2008, 28-year-old Andre Darel Gorsuch was shot and killed in San Diego, California. The incident occurred around 9:17 p.m. in the Emerald Hills neighborhood on Bollenbacher Street. Gorsuch and a companion had just arrived at the location and were standing near his vehicle when a dark-colored SUV approached. An occupant of the SUV fired multiple rounds at Gorsuch, hitting him, while his companion was unharmed. Despite efforts by paramedics, Gorsuch was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to a local hospital.
The motive for the shooting remains unclear, and no immediate suspects were identified. Authorities encouraged anyone with information to contact the San Diego Police Department's Homicide Unit to assist with the investigation
