On August 14, 1999, Nyesha Nettles, a 19-year-old woman, was murdered in her apartment located at 905 Neal Avenue in Dayton, Ohio. On that Saturday afternoon, Nyesha was reportedly playing video games, enjoying a routine day when an unexpected knock at the door changed everything. The knock led to an encounter that ended tragically, and her future was cut short by an act of violence. Police later found Nyesha dead inside her apartment.
