Darius Brooks, a 26-year-old man from San Francisco, was tragically shot and killed in the early morning hours of September 20, 2008. The incident took place at approximately 6:27 a.m. on Newcomb Avenue in the Bayview-Hunters Point neighborhood. Brooks was shot by unknown assailants, and though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
