Skeletal remains found in Dolomite have been identified, and the death ruled a homicide, authorities said Tuesday.

Birmingham police identified the victim as 24-year-old David Robinson. He was reported missing by his family on April The remains were found June 26, 2012 at about 11:15 p.m. in the 1500 block of James Street in Dolomite. Police dispatched to the scene that night found the skeletal remains lying in a wooded area just off the roadway.
