On September 3, 2003, Melvin Stanley, a 25-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed in the vicinity of 1553 East Main Street in Franklin County. The shooting left him with a fatal gunshot wound to the abdomen, and despite ongoing investigative efforts, this homicide remains unsolved. The Columbus Police Department, along with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), has continued to pursue leads in the case, but there have been no arrests or apparent suspects as of yet.
