On April 10, 2013, Reginald Jr. Ivery, a 33-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was shot and killed in what remains an unsolved homicide. Columbus Police were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire around 10:36 a.m. on East 26th Avenue, near the intersection with Duxberry Avenue. Upon arriving, officers found Ivery suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
The incident occurred in the South Linden neighborhood, and witnesses reported seeing a maroon Ford Explorer leaving the scene shortly after the shooting. This vehicle is believed to be connected to the crime, and the Columbus Police have urged anyone with information to come forward to assist in their investigation. This homicide was the 19th recorded in Columbus for the year 2013.
