On November 10, 2013, Maurice Hall, aged 28, was tragically shot and killed in Columbus, Ohio. Hall's homicide occurred as part of a series of violent incidents in the city, and it took place in the Linden area, an area known for experiencing various incidents of gun violence. The Columbus Police Department responded to the scene and investigated the circumstances of his death, but as of today, the case remains unsolved.

The investigation revealed that Maurice Hall was one of several victims linked to a broader string of homicides during this period. In 2015, Orlando Daniels, a suspect connected to several homicides, admitted under a plea agreement to being involved in the deaths of Maurice Hall and two other individuals. Daniels pleaded guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter, which led to a 30-year prison sentence. Despite this admission, specific details about the motive for Hall's death and the complete circumstances surrounding it remain unclear.

The cold case unit in Columbus still considers the case to have open elements that need resolution, and law enforcement officials continue to appeal for any information that could help bring additional clarity or closure to Maurice Hall’s family. The Ohio Attorney General’s Office also lists Maurice Hall's death among unsolved homicides that require further investigation. The community and law enforcement alike are hoping that continued public awareness will help bring justice for Hall and his loved ones.
