Summary based on 5 sources
Antoine Grant was 38 years old when he was fatally stabbed on Saturday, June 29, 2024, in the 4000 block of Fairfax Road in Baltimore. The Baltimore Police Department investigated his death, and the Baltimore Sun's homicide database lists it as a homicide.

Grant did not die where he was attacked. According to police, "At approximately 9:54 p.m., patrol officers responded to an area hospital for a report of a walk-in cutting victim." Once there, police said, "officers located a 38-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to the body. Despite doctors' efforts, the victim was pronounced deceased." Investigators later learned that he had been stabbed on the 4000 block of Fairfax Road. A post by Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland said that "just after 10pm Mr. Grant was driven to Saint Agnes hospital with injuries after being stabbed." The public accounts do not say who drove him there.

At first the case was described as a cutting. WBAL-TV later reported that "Grant was originally said to have gone to an area hospital for a cutting, but officers later said he was stabbed multiple times." Police have not said publicly what led to the attack, whether it happened indoors or outside, or whether he knew the person who stabbed him.

Less than a month after his death, Baltimore police and Metro Crime Stoppers turned to the public. In late July 2024, WBAL reported that police were "offering a $6,000 reward for information about a deadly stabbing that occurred at the end of June," and that they were "looking for any information relating to the fatal stabbing of Antoine Grant in the 4000 block of Fairfax Road on June 29." Metro Crime Stoppers posted his case under the question, "Who murdered Mr. Antoine Grant?" The appeal suggests that detectives had not yet identified a suspect they could charge at that point.

His name was later read among those of other people killed in the city that summer, in lists of homicide victims compiled by local outlets, but no obituary or family fundraiser describing his life could be found for this story. A community-kept list of 2024 Baltimore homicides marks his case with the word "None" in the space where the name of anyone charged would appear.

The Sun's database places the 4000 block of Fairfax Road in the city's 21216 ZIP code. A stabbing on a Saturday night in late June, followed by a ride to the hospital, may have involved more than one person who knew where Grant had been and who he was with.

Homicides in Baltimore began falling steeply in 2023 and 2024, reaching the lowest totals in decades, yet many killings from those years remain unsolved.

No arrest, criminal charge or court case connected to the death of Antoine Grant could be found in news archives or public records. More than two years later, there is no public sign that anyone has been held responsible. Anyone who was on or near the 4000 block of Fairfax Road on the evening of June 29, 2024, or who knows who brought him to the hospital that night, may be able to help detectives, and the $6,000 reward may still apply. Even a small detail, such as a name overheard, a vehicle seen nearby or a conversation remembered, can help detectives move a case forward.
