Gary Copling, aged 41, was fatally shot in Columbus, Ohio, on December 20, 2017. The incident occurred during a drug transaction at the Dawghouse Bar in the 2000 block of Lockbourne Road. After being shot, Copling was found near Studer and Reeb Avenues, about half a block away from the initial scene, and was transported to Grant Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
In the subsequent investigation, two individuals were arrested.
Brian Reed was apprehended in November 2018, and later, in October 2020, Camron Garnes was also arrested and charged in connection with Copling's death.
