Elaine Krausher was a 26-year-old White/Caucasian woman from the Calgary area whose life ended violently in the summer of 1986. On Saturday, July 19, her body was discovered on the southeast bank of Jumping Pound Creek near Cochrane, Alberta, west of Calgary. The location placed her outside the city in a rural creek corridor, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police later included her death among its cold-case files.
