On August 28, 2007, Eugene L. Blackmon, 30, was found fatally shot in Charlotte, North Carolina, near 618 Echodale Drive. Known by the nickname "Geno," Blackmon was discovered lying on the ground after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. The location of his body, close to a wooded pathway connecting to Dunbrook Lane near his residence, suggested he may have been trying to flee or move toward safety when he was attacked.
