short-term rental home on Washington Avenue in Lorain. A preliminary investigation by the Lorain Police Department indicated that an argument at the party escalated into a violent altercation. Gunfire erupted both inside the residence and on an exterior staircase. When first responders arrived at the scene around 3 a.m., they found Marc L. Taylor and another teenager, 17-year-old Silas Henry, also of Elyria, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, both Taylor and Henry were pronounced deceased at the scene.
In the wake of the shooting, police arrested 19-year-old Alexander Gibbons of Elyria.
