On a summer night in Asheville, North Carolina, the life of 21-year-old Lamarius Jones was tragically cut short. On July 19, 2026, Jones was killed in a mass shooting that also claimed the life of his best friend, 24-year-old Marques Davis Jr., and left seven others wounded.
