On a violent Saturday evening in Montgomery, Alabama, 18-year-old Sa'Vion Gilchrist lost his life. The events of June 20, 2026, began to unfold around 6:30 p.m. when police were called to the scene of a shooting near Eastern Boulevard. Not long after, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a significant police and emergency medical presence was seen at the Woodmere Raceway, located off Interstate 85.
