On the evening of June 25, 2026, what initially appeared to be a car crash in Manassas, Virginia, quickly unfolded into a homicide investigation. First responders were called to the 7900 block of Community Drive for a report of a vehicle that had struck a parked car. Inside the driver's seat, they discovered 18-year-old Michael Sakyi Jr. of Bristow, a young man of Ghanaian descent, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body.
