In the quiet early morning hours of Sunday, June 28, 2026, the community of Dyersburg, Tennessee, was rocked by a tragedy that would cut short the life of a young girl. Fifteen-year-old Alexia Curry, a student at Dyersburg High School, was fatally shot in the Cumberland Street area. Around 1 a.m., officers from the Dyersburg Police Department responded to a call regarding a weapons complaint.
