Ty-Ron Perry Jr., a 16-year-old boy, was killed in the early morning hours of May 27, 2026, after a shooting inside a home in the 900 block of East Dewey Avenue on Youngstown's South Side. Police were called shortly before 2 a.m. after a man reported that his son had been shot multiple times. When officers arrived, Ty-Ron was found on the kitchen floor, and the case quickly became Youngstown's fourth homicide of the year.
