In the early morning hours of Sunday, May 3, 2026, the life of 31-year-old Aaron Lee Vidales Jr. was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. A Joliet police officer, positioned near Anthony's Restaurant and Pub, heard multiple gunshots coming from the adjacent parking lot of a Dollar Tree on Colorado Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. Responding officers discovered Vidales in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his head.
