A quiet evening in Cleveland, Tennessee, turned tragic on May 4, 2026, when 62-year-old Michael Shannon Rymer, a white male, was fatally shot in an altercation with a neighbor. The incident, which occurred in the 3800 block of Lead Mine Valley Road SW, also left another person with injuries. The shots rang out, shattering the peace of the neighborhood and leaving a community in shock.
