In the quiet community of Lockland, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio, the life of a promising young woman was tragically cut short on the afternoon of Friday, May 8, 2026. Oluwabukola "Bukky" Pereira, a 30-year-old Nigerian-born athlete and graduate student, was fatally shot during a robbery at the Arise Auto Center on North Wayne Avenue where she was employed.
