A young woman's remains are found 3.5 hours away from where she was last seen
Bessie Williams, a 19-year-old from Johnson City, New York, was reported missing on November 4, 1983, after she failed to return home from picking up her paycheck at the Quality Inn Lodge and Convention Center in Endwell. Despite extensive efforts to locate her, her skeletal remains were discovered 17 months later on April 11, 1985, in a wooded area off King Street in Barker, New York. A forensic examination determined that her death was a homicide.
