In the early hours of Sunday, April 26, 2026, the sound of gunshots echoed through the 2800 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest in Washington, D.C.. In the aftermath, 24-year-old Demarco Lyles, a resident of Northwest, D.C., was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported in a private vehicle to a local hospital for medical attention.
