The tragic incident unfolded on April 28, 2026, at approximately 10:43 p.m. at the intersection of Holloway Avenue and South Cleveland Street. Young was at the scene when the shooting began, and she was fatally wounded. Four other individuals were also injured in the violent outburst.
Friends and neighbors remember Kiambria Young as a devoted mother and a "good spirit." Her daily routine of returning from work and immediately letting her children play outside on their scooters was a familiar and heartwarming sight in the neighborhood, a routine now tragically ended.
