In the late hours of a Sunday evening in San Antonio, Texas, a dispute between two groups tragically escalated, leading to the death of 29-year-old Victor Rebollar-Zamorano on March 29, 2026. Two other individuals, a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, were also critically injured in the altercation.
The incident began with an argument in the 900 block of Southeast Military Drive. Following the initial confrontation, both parties left the scene.
However, the conflict was far from over as the suspect's vehicle pursued the vehicle carrying Zamorano and the two other victims. The chase ended in the 130 block of Southwest Military Drive, where occupants of the pursuing vehicle opened fire, striking all three individuals.
In a desperate attempt to get help, the wounded men tried to drive to a hospital. Their journey was fraught with peril as their vehicle was involved in several minor accidents before ultimately crashing into an auto repair shop in the 1700 block of Southeast Military Drive. It was there that a San Antonio Park Police officer discovered the crashed vehicle and began to render aid. Emergency services arrived shortly after, but tragically, Zamorano was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other victims were transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The vehicle carrying the suspects fled the scene after the shooting, and as of the latest reports, the individuals responsible have not been identified or apprehended. The San Antonio Police Department's investigation into the deadly shooting is ongoing, and they have not yet released any information about potential suspects. The family of Victor Rebollar-Zamorano is left to mourn their profound loss.
