In the late evening of January 11, 2026, 26-year-old Katrael Delosier was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Amazon fulfillment center where he worked on U.S. Highway 90 West in San Antonio, Texas. An innocent bystander, Delosier was caught in the crossfire of a dispute between other coworkers that tragically escalated. The incident, which occurred around 10 p.m., also resulted in another Amazon employee being injured.
The events leading to the fatal shooting began with an argument
between two other Amazon employees. One of the men involved in the dispute reportedly called for "backup," leading to the arrival of two individuals, Jamari McKillion, 21, and David Perez Morales Jr., 20. It is alleged that Morales opened fire from a vehicle driven by McKillion, striking both Delosier and the intended target of the dispute. Delosier was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Following the shooting, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation that quickly led to the identification and arrest of the two suspects. Both Jamari McKillion and David Perez Morales Jr. were taken into custody and face first-degree murder charges. They are currently being held at the Bexar County Jail.
Katrael Delosier was remembered by his family as a devoted partner and a loving father to two young sons. He had recently completed his education to become a mechanic and was in the process of buying a home for his family. His loved ones have expressed their devastation and are seeking justice for his untimely death. The family has retained a law firm to explore legal options and has raised concerns about prior safety at the Amazon facility.
