Amaree Keshawn Lee Dawson, a 23-year-old man, was killed in the early hours of March 29, 2026, after gunfire erupted in Pittsburgh's South Side, in the busy stretch around South 18th Street and East Carson Street. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, officers assigned to the South Side Entertainment Patrol were sent to the area at about 2:28 a.m. after two ShotSpotter alerts captured a total of eight rounds.
