On the afternoon of April 9, 2026, the life of 22-year-old Jaylin Carmello Bass was tragically cut short in a shooting on Lima Drive in Gautier, Mississippi. The Gautier Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the area around 2:30 p.m. Upon their arrival, emergency responders found Jaylin Bass with a gunshot wound. Despite their attempts at life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
