In the quiet community of Rimrock, Arizona, a welfare check on January 30, 2018, led to the tragic discovery of Cynthia Noble, a 47-year-old woman, and her husband, Joseph Noble II, 54. A concerned individual had noticed the doors to their home on Passage Lane had been open since the previous day, prompting a call to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrived to find both Cynthia and Joseph deceased inside the residence from apparent gunshot wounds.
Subsequent investigation by the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office revealed a grim picture of the events that had transpired. Autopsy results confirmed that Joseph Noble had shot his wife, with authorities suggesting it was possible she was asleep when it happened. He then turned the firearm on himself in their bedroom. A firearm was recovered at the scene, and ballistic evidence indicated that Joseph was the only person who had fired a weapon. The home showed no signs of a struggle, pointing to a sudden and violent end to the couple's lives.
