In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of 21-year-old Tori Kelly Jr. was cut short by gunfire. On April 12, 2026, police responded to a call on Wares Ferry Road to find Kelly with fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His death was part of a particularly violent weekend in the city, which saw a string of unrelated shootings that left multiple people dead and others wounded.
