In the quiet setting of Milligan Park in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the life of 31-year-old Kaleb J. Isabell of Rockville was brought to a tragic end on the evening of March 5, 2026. Responders were called to the park shortly before 10 p.m. following a 911 call about a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Isabell inside his silver Volkswagen Passat, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, he was pronounced dead at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville.
The investigation into Isabell's death quickly revealed a story of a pre-planned robbery disguised as a drug transaction. A woman who was with Isabell told investigators that they had driven to Crawfordsville from Lafayette after Isabell was contacted on Snapchat by someone wishing to purchase drugs. The Snapchat account used the name "Draco." At the park, a man in a white hoodie and black sweatpants approached their vehicle and began counting money on the hood of the car before handing it to Isabell through the driver's side window. As a woman in the backseat started to handle the cash, multiple gunshots were fired, and the man fled the scene on foot.
Law enforcement's investigation led to the swift identification and arrest of four suspects. Eighteen-year-old Draco Alan Lee Farris-Clark of Crawfordsville was identified as the alleged gunman and faces charges of murder, armed robbery, and criminal recklessness. During an interview with police, Farris-Clark admitted to arranging the drug deal with the intention of robbing Isabell. He stated that he fired seven shots at close range after becoming nervous.
Three other individuals were also arrested in connection with the planned robbery and Isabell's death. Zayden Michael White, 18, and Adrien Wesley Cottom, 19, both of Crawfordsville, were charged with aiding in felony murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. A fourth suspect, 17-year-old Korbin Brock Jones of Waynetown, was also arrested and is being charged as an adult with murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. Court documents suggest that all four individuals had planned the robbery for several days. All three of the initially arrested men are being held without bond in the Montgomery County Jail.
