On a visit to Houston to support a friend undergoing cancer treatment, 61-year-old Marietta Allison from Austin was tragically killed on the evening of March 6, 2026. Allison had spent the day at the hospital with her friend, Cassie Daniel, who was receiving her first round of chemotherapy for stage four ovarian cancer.
