On November 29, 2010, 19-year-old Charles Myles was tragically shot and killed in Buffalo, New York. Myles was working at the Super-Stop Food Mart at the corner of Kensington and Thatcher Avenues when he was fatally shot in what investigators later described as a gang-related incident. The suspected shooter, Tre Smitherman, a 17-year-old at the time, allegedly killed Myles to prove himself to the Bailey Boys gang, a group involved in drug trafficking and violent crimes in the area.
