When 22-year-old Arthur Green III was shot to death in his car on May 17, he became the second of Wanda Holt's children killed in violence in Birmingham.

Her oldest child, 21-year-old Kenneth Holmes was shot to death five years ago, also in a car, amid a crowd celebrating the Magic City Classic football game in October 2007. "I don't think any mother, or father, should have to go through the pain of burying a young person,'' Holt said. "It's painful, especially when it's murder."
