In the early hours of a Sunday morning in North Hollywood, a young life was tragically cut short. Twenty-year-old Carlos Rojas, a Latino male, was found deceased on February 15, 2026, on the 7500 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner later confirmed that Rojas's death was the result of a contact gunshot wound to the head.
The initial investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department led to the detainment of three individuals in connection with the
fatal shooting. After questioning, two of the individuals were released. The third, however, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Further details about the suspect have not been made publicly available.
