In the late hours of a cold January evening, tragedy struck in Gloucester Township, New Jersey. On January 13, 2022, David Markeid Brown, a 28-year-old Black/African American male from Clayton, was fatally shot outside an apartment building on Blackwood-Clementon Road. The sound of gunfire pierced the night around 11:35 p.m., prompting a police response.
