On June 17, 2012, Hassan Jabbar, a 25-year-old Buffalo resident, was shot on East Ferry Street between Fillmore Avenue and Kehr Street at around 7:30 p.m. Despite being rushed to Erie County Medical Center, he died shortly after his arrival. Buffalo police identified a suspect, described as a Black male with red hair wearing a blue shirt, who fled the scene on foot. Authorities believe Jabbar knew his attacker.
