In the early morning hours of Sunday, January 25, 2026, the life of 29-year-old Shekela Woodard was tragically cut short in Fitzgerald, Georgia. A gathering at a home on Sullivan Court, filled with the sounds of a party, was shattered by gunfire. When Fitzgerald Police Department officers responded to a 911 call around 2:30 a.m., they found Woodard had been fatally shot.
