On a late Sunday afternoon in Meridian, Idaho, a violent encounter in a parking lot cut short the life of 27-year-old Israel Castrejon Trejo of Nampa. The date was January 25, 2026, when multiple 911 calls flooded into the Meridian Police Department around 12:30 p.m., reporting a shooting near East Central Drive.
