On January 6, 2019, in Meridian, Idaho, 47-year-old Jose Paul "Joe" De Leon and his wife, 40-year-old Heidi De Leon, were tragically killed in a murder-suicide incident. The assailant, identified as Heidi's ex-husband, 39-year-old Edward Lynn Epps Jr., forcibly entered the De Leon residence armed with two handguns.
