In the summer of 2003, a young man's dreams were cut short on a street in Buffalo, New York. Amir Harris, a 20-year-old male with aspirations of becoming a rapper and venturing into the roofing business, was fatally shot on May Street on June 18th. The incident, which also resulted in the shooting of one of his friends, sent shockwaves through his family and community.
