In the early morning hours of September 22, 2022, a sense of unease settled over a driveway on Tremont Avenue in Kenmore, a suburb of Buffalo, New York. It was there that 42-year-old David Pierce was found, his life tragically cut short by a gunshot wound. When police arrived around 1:30 a.m., they pronounced him dead at the scene, leaving a community in shock and a family devastated.
