In the late afternoon of Sunday, December 28, 2025, the life of 39-year-old David Orr of Coos Bay was abruptly ended by an act of violence. The incident unfolded around 1:55 p.m. in the parking lot of a Staples store located on Newmark Avenue. Emergency services were summoned to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Orr suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical intervention, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
