In the early hours of New Year's Day 2026, the life of a promising 25-year-old Black / African American Dallas rapper, Zecqurie Cannon Grant Fields, known musically as Zeethewizard, was irrevocably altered. A celebration for the grand opening of the Pink House Dallas, an after-hours strip club, turned into a scene of violence when gunfire erupted in the parking lot at approximately 3:45 a.m. Fields was critically injured in the shooting, which also wounded four other individuals.
